Ready to take control of your sexual health but don’t know where to start? Learning about your sexual health without stigma is a great start!

The Haven can teach you about how to live a happy and healthy sexual life without shame!

Empowerment requires education.

Our team at The Haven is dedicated to promoting and advocating for health literacy in the community. Knowing what impacts our health and well-being is one of the biggest steps in becoming empowered and living your best life. And your sexual health is a huge part of your well-being!

Here at The Haven, we educate our community by teaching classes and partnering with local organizations that allow us to address sexual practices openly and honestly. Having open and honest community conversations about sex help keep us educated on healthy sexual practices and further reduces stigma surrounding sex, sexuality, and HIV. Read below to learn more about how The Haven is reducing stigma through community education.

Community Education and Empowerment

The Haven team has been working since 2013 to serve all our community members. We not only conduct free and confidential testing, be we also engage in weekly outreach to promote and advocate for health literacy in The Mid-South. Our community impact and empowerment activities include:

Sexual Health Classes
Our team members often go out into the community to teach classes centered around safe sex education and reducing stigma. We also offer tools and resources that promote safe sex practices. We can do these classes for schools, organizations, or small groups by request.

Condom Distribution
Our team at The Haven distributes nearly 3,000 condoms per month. Condom distribution is key in promoting safe sexual practices, so we ensure that our Friends in the Mid-South have free access to condoms.

Youth Mentorship
Our team at The Haven stays connected in the community to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ youth by offering mentorship through community members looking to affirm and guide our Mid-South youth.

Safe Space
